As a result of the measures taken to counter the spread of COVID-19, the CFL have revised the planning of their construction, maintenance and modernisation work on the rail network. As a result, the annual map of the CFL’s engineering works has been reissued.

These railway infrastructure works require the closure of certain railway segments in order to permit that these can be performed safely and swiftly.

Closures in August and September 2020 per line:

Line 10 (Luxembourg – Troisvierges – Gouvy):

between Ettelbruck and Diekirch:

  • from Saturday 22nd August to Friday 11th September 2020 included

between Luxembourg and Ettelbruck:

  • from Saturday 22nd August to Friday 11th September 2020 included

between Ettelbruck and Troisvierges:

  • following weekends: 11th and 12th September 2020 and 19th and 20 September 2020

Line 50 (Luxembourg – Kleinbettingen – Arlon):

between Luxembourg and Arlon:

  • following weekends: 1st and 2nd August 2020, 8th and 9th August 2020, as well as 26th and 27th September 2020

Line 70 (Luxembourg – Pétange – Rodange):

between Luxembourg and Hollerich:

  • following weekends: 1st and 2nd August 2020, 8th and 9th August 2020, as well as 26th and 27th September 2020

between Luxembourg and Dippach-Reckange:

  • weekend 19th and 20 September 2020

Lines 60 (Luxembourg – Esch-sur-Alzette ‒ Pétange) and 90 (Luxemboug – Bettembourg – Thionville):

between Luxembourg and Bettembourg:

  • on following weekends: 15th and 16 August 2020, 22nd and 23rd August 2020, 5th and 6th September 2020, 12 & 13th September 2020, 19th and 20 September 2020 as well as 26th and 27th September 2020
