Every day, two people risk their lives by walking on the tracks… a dangerous and deadly act. A train can take 1,200 metres to stop: the equivalent of 12 football pitches!
This issue was at the hear of awareness-raising activities during TRESPAD (Trespass Awareness Day) on 4 June. Over the course of last year, the CFL staff observed nearly 800 instances of passengers crossing the tracks or walking along the rails illegally – that is, more than twice a day.

Stay alert on the platform: remove your headphones and put away your phone. Once you are seated on the train, you can enjoy your music or reading again.

In stations and at stops, riding a scooter or any other wheeled device is prohibited to avoid collisions and injuries. Carry it by hand, it’s safer.

Let other passengers get off the train before boarding, respect the smoking areas on the platforms, be courtesy towards CFL staff and other customers… living together on public transport requires simple reflexes, such as saying hello!
