On Tuesday 3 June 2025, the CFL celebrated ‘World Bicycle Day’ by offering cycling lovers a range of services and advice on how to use this mode of transport, which combines perfectly with the CFL offer.
The venue for the event was ideally chosen. On the edge of the cycle path leading to the Kirchberg plateau and the city centre. It was on the site of the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg mobility hub that the CFL had arranged to meet cyclists for the second edition of an event dedicated to World Bicycle Day, extended by festive moments and an ‘Afterwork Bike Tour’ at Belval-Université station.

Railway stations and bicycles, a winning combination
Since the end of 2023, the CFL have taken over the management and development of the network of 87 ‘bikebox’ secure cycle parks (accessible free of charge, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day), many of which are located near CFL stations and stops. More information on bikeboxes here.
Good for your health, good for the planet, cycling has been the focus of a CFL strategy since 2023 to optimise the station-bike tandem. Infrastructure, services, specific offers and information, etc. The CFL want to cover all the needs of cyclist customers who plan their journey in a multimodal way, combining the advantages of train and bike.
