Respect is as “Easy as 1-2-3”. In conjunction with the National Respect in Public Transport Day on 3 May, the CFL present how the notion of respect coincides with the quality of service offered to customers. It’s a constant process, often carried out behind the scenes

A water treatment and recycling plant worthy of a municipality. A high-tech washing system. Trains up to 200 metres long that shine in just 30 minutes.

The CFL train wash is one of those technical and technological jewels that contribute to the quality of service provided to our customers. Summer and winter alike, Mike and his team from the Trains and Equipment Service Operations Centre have been running the train wash since 2012.

The passion and commitment of the CFL’s employees enable processes and equipment to evolve and improve substantially. In this particular case, Mike and his team modified and optimised the software controlling the wash programmes, as well as making modifications to the mechanical and electrical equipment, to increase safety on the one hand and make the equipment more reliable on the other. All this has resulted in a washing installation with the lowest fresh water consumption in its field, without the use of aggressive chemicals. The latest retro-fit has also significantly increased the plant’s productivity.
