The comfort you enjoy when travelling with the CFL also relies on a range of behind-the-scenes operations that help ensure trains are presented in the best possible condition every day. Here’s a closer look at how CFL trains are cleaned, in five key points.

1. Thousands of seats cleaned every week

Our teams work every day to maintain a pleasant environment on board. Every train is cleaned at least once a day.

• Every area matters

Seats, tables, floors, bins, doors and windows all receive tailored cleaning to ensure a comfortable journey for passengers.

• Special attention to onboard toilets

Clean toilets are an important factor in customer satisfaction and are closely monitored. The CFL have even launched an innovative pilot project aimed at further improving the onboard experience.

• Day and night operations

While some cleaning takes place during the day, most operations are carried out overnight at the Rolling Stock Maintenance Centre (CRM), as well as at the stations of Troisvierges, Ettelbruck and Pétange.
