New Luxembourg – Bettembourg line: a landmark project for the CFL
This is undeniably a milestone project for CFL and national mobility: the creation of an additional 7-kilometre rail line to relieve congestion on the busiest section of the rail network. Last March, we took you on a tour to share the progress of the works, in particular around OA7, one of the eight engineering structures that are par the new line.

The CFL is in regular dialogue with its customers to hear their grievances and respond in the most appropriate way. The aim is to constantly improve service quality. In October 2024, for example, work was carried out at Esch-sur-Alzette, the country’s second busiest station.

How can we talk about 2024 without mentioning the entry into commercial service of the CFL’s first Coradia multiple unit? The first of the 34 new-generation railcars set off for Ettelbruck on Sunday 29 September on its maiden voyage. This was an opportunity to hand the microphone over to our colleagues in charge of this unique journey.
