Four Z2 trains have headed to Romania

The first four Z2 railcars out of the 20 left for Romania on Friday, April 4, 2025. This operation was coordinated from the Luxembourg shunting yard with the collaboration of CFL cargo, which handled the traction of trains 2001, 2016, 2019, and 2021.

In the context of the gradual commissioning of 34 new Coradia trains, the CFL are retiring the Z2 railcars from the Luxembourg railway network, which date back to the 1990s.

On the afternoon of Friday, April 4, 2025, the first four Z2 trains departed for Romania from the Luxembourg shunting yard after a final standard revision.
