• Train punctuality, a quality factor, a sign of respect

    Respect is ‘as easy as 1,2,3’. To coincide with National Respect in Public Transport Day on 3 May, the CFL presented how the notion of respect coincides with quality of service for customers.

    Since our last visit on the Luxembourg – Kleinbettingen – Arlon line a year ago, the specialised machine for replacing sleepers, track and ballast has returned to prepare the rail network for tomorrow’s mobility.

  • H00: Teamwork for Greater Punctuality

    More than 1,000 trains run daily on the Luxembourg rail network. On average, nine out of ten trains were punctual in 2024. This is quite remarkable in a European comparison, but not good enough for us at CFL, as we aim to continue improving.

  • 20 switches carefully replaced between Luxembourg and Pétange

    Following the replacement of 10,000 concrete sleepers in November 2024, 20 new switches were installed between 14 March and 4 April 2025.
